TECHNIQUES

ACUPUNCTURE, OSTEOPATHY, AYURVEDA

The polarity therapist does not seek to transmit external energy to the clientele, as is the case in Reiki. Rather, its action is aimed at rebalancing and bringing the individual's own energy back into action. Depending on the energy circuits that the polarity therapist wishes to harmonize, the energy, simply places his, her hands in specific places on the body and exerts light pressure. Different protocols and charters make it possible to determine which circuits to work on, depending on the desired goals. The therapist remains centered and empathic. For example, his, her intervention would ensure that an energy blocked between the head and the pelvis begins to circulate freely allowing the process of self-healing.

This technique strengthens the energy of the body, allows the link body-mind (mental) and reconnects the natural forces present in every human being. Polarity is an art and science of balancing life energy in the body. By the principle of natural laws which manages life of which the human being is part, Ayurveda is the philosophical basis of Polarity Therapy while Acupuncture (pressure points) and Osteopathy (MRP: breathing movement primary), are mainly the two techniques that complete it. Finally, through dialogue and listening, they encourage the client to develop a positive and loving mental attitude towards life. Polarity therapy was developed by Dr. Randolph Stone in the late 1950s and taught in the United States in the 1970s.

40 YEARS OF RESEARCH

« For forty years I have searched for a principle in the healing arts that would include all forms of therapy and act as a common denominator, an intelligent answer, to all the many conflicting theories and claims that exist today. » Randolph Stone, father of Polarity Therapy.

Before setting out the different techniques that influenced Randolph Stone in his creation of Polarity Therapy, we must first explain his journey.

In his personal story, it should be remembered that his inner quest began very early and really focused when he decided to devote his life to the well-being of humanity. He then accumulates diplomas. However, practicing the techniques he learned brought him little satisfaction and he continued his research and reading tirelessly.

It was while reading Julian Johnson's book, The Path of the Masters (1939), and Lekhraj Puri's, Mysticism the Spiritual Path (1938), that he finally discovered what he was looking for. These two books describe the religious philosophy of the Radhasoami, a religious movement in northern India. This path leads to the meeting with the Radhasoami and to the creation that he then calls as a ''New art of healing''.

It took Stone forty years of research to come to understand the importance of the energetic dimension of the universe and then to apply it to his therapy.

A tireless researcher, he accumulated the most diverse diplomas and training.

  • Doctor of mentology (body-mind link),

  • chiropractor

  • osteopath,

  • graduated in medicine (without the right to prescribe and operate) in 1914 in Chicago

  • naturopath,

  • Stone will also become an acupuncturist.

In his spiritual quest, he will be interested in the religions of the world as well as in Greek and Latin philosophies.

Subsequently, Stone traveled, studied in India and was greatly influenced by many of India's philosophies including Ayurveda.

SCIENCE AND THERAPY

Randolph Stone is an attempt to restore the lost union between science and meaning, between the individual and the universe around him. For him, it is absolutely essential to link science, including physics and electromagnetics, to his studies and clinical observations. In particular, the atom, basic constituent of matter including protons (positively charged), neutrons (uncharged), electrons (negatively charged) which by its trinity, allows the movement of energy from which life comes.

* IMPORTANT NOTE : The term "New Art of Healing" described by Randolph Stone to define his Polarity Therapy is today defined as an "Art of Balancing Energy" to stimulate self-healing.
